Layout and features

Advanced level

Spine and transitions

A spine with coping sits in the centre, with red-edged transitions along both walls. The features can be linked in one run across the floor.

Intermediate

Wave and bank

A wave across the full width of the floor and a well-worn bank. Run-ups are short: speed comes from the transition rather than a long flat approach.

Any level

A compact floor

The venue is small and the features sit close together. Ask the park team about exact sizes and today’s layout, as the set-up may change.

What usually worries people

What if I fall?

The coach teaches you to fall properly: tuck in, avoid landing on straight arms and distribute the impact safely. This reduces the risk of injury but does not eliminate it entirely.

What if everyone else can skate and I can’t?

Beginners also train at Dubrovka. In a lesson, the coach adapts exercises to your level; the spine and more complex lines come later.

What if I can’t do it at all?

You will not master everything straight away — that is normal. The coach starts with the simplest movements and introduces harder ones gradually, once you feel confident with the previous step.

How a first visit goes

  1. Come a little early

Allow time to complete the paperwork and change before the lesson. The park team will welcome you.

  2. Sign the consent form

The informed consent includes the park rules. A parent or legal guardian signs for a child.

  3. Take the safety briefing

The coach explains how to enter the riding area, give way to others and respond to a fall. Exercises begin after the briefing.

  4. Get your gear

Protective gear and a board or inline skates are provided on site and included in paid lessons and group classes.

  5. Parents watch from the side

You can watch from outside the riding area. Only students and the coach are on the floor.

What to bring

Clothes

Sportswear with no loose laces or long drawstrings that could get caught in the wheels.

Shoes

Closed shoes with a flat, non-slip sole. Sandals and high heels are not suitable for the riding area.

Helmet and pads

Available on site. Under-16s must wear a helmet in every riding area. Everyone wears a full set for lessons, regardless of age or experience; full protective gear is always mandatory on the vert ramp.

Board or inline skates

A board or skates and protective gear are included in paid lessons and group classes. For open sessions, bring your own equipment or rent it at the park.

Open-session rental: a full set of pads — 900 ₽; board or inline skates — 900 ₽.

Choosing between parks? Khimki has lower, mellower features; Dubrovka has longer transitions and a spine. Choose by skill level and travel time.
